1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Textra browser workspace ("Software") or accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not install or use the Software.

2. License Grant & Usage

Textra grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to install and use the Software on devices capable of running web browsers.

• You may use Textra for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
• You may not modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute modified binary versions of the extension claiming to be official releases without authorization.

3. User Responsibilities & Data Backup

Because Textra is a local-first software utility that stores content locally on your computer—either via browser database storage (IndexedDB) or directly as local files:

• You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your notes and documents.
• For notes stored in Browser Storage Mode, clearing browser data or purging browser profiles may erase un-exported note data. For notes stored in Local Storage Mode, your files remain on your disk. We recommend using Textra's built-in export tool regularly.

4. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to Textra—including logos, visual designs, brand assets, and source code—are and remain the exclusive property of Textra and its creator. All notes and content created by you using Textra belong 100% to you.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY.
